This session contains a 40 minute workshop.

Workshop: ICD11 for accident & emergency informatics and one digital health

In this workshop, we will explore the

  • General idea of the WHO family of classifications (WHO FIC),
  • Technical structure beyond the ICD11 user interfaces,
  • Tools and application programming interfaces provided by WHO to include ICD11 and its functionality into own systems and implementations, and
  • Examples from A&EI as well as ODH combined with ICD.

Biography

Prof Dr Thomas M. Deserno (born as Lehmann) received his Master's in electrical engineering, PhD in computer science, and the habilitation in medical informatics in 1992, 1998, and 2004, respectively. He has been professor of medical informatics at Uniklinik RWTH Aachen. Since 2017, he is CEO of PLRI Campus Braunschweig.
