Workshop: Unleashing the power of data: Transforming insights into action

Electronic medical record (EMR) systems contain a wealth of valuable information that can be leveraged to drive meaningful clinical insights and improve patient outcomes. In this session, we will use real-life examples to demonstrate how routinely collected data captured within EMR systems can be harnessed to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. We will also discuss how to transform this data into actionable insights that can be used to inform clinical decision-making, optimize workflows, and improve patient outcomes. Whether you are a healthcare provider, researcher, or analyst, this session will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to harness the power of EMR data and drive better clinical outcomes.

Learning objectives
  • Identify current challenges and opportunities in creating actionable insights from electronic medical record data
  • Learn techniques and tools for analysing complex data sets and extracting valuable insights from them
  • Gain an understanding of how to effectively communicate insights to clinical stakeholders using real-life case studies
  • Learn how to facilitate partnerships that effectively translate clinical insights from EMR systems into data-driven interventions and monitor outcomes over time
