Too often, health initiatives are planned and implemented without consultation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) people. Co-design is key to successful digital health initiatives. However, projects often fail to meaningfully engage those with lived experiences.
This exclusive breakfast invites participants to hear from ATSI panellists sharing their perspective on what co-design means for their communities and the researchers who work with communities. Questions will be posed to the panel to respond to the call ‘are we really engaging?’. This conversation provides a frame for conference participants to consider ATSI perspectives in their discussions and learnings for the week.
