Dr Philip Scott is Programme Director at University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Chair of the British Computer Society’s health and care group and co-chair of the MCBK-UK steering group. He has worked on healthcare record structures and interoperability standards, clinical decision support and interdisciplinary theory in health informatics.

Catherine Chronaki, a computer engineer by training, is the secretary general at the HL7 Europe Foundation, immediate past president of EFMI and currently IMIA Vice President for the European region (2022-2024). Catherine has played a key role within national and European digital health projects, addressing standards as infrastructure for innovation.

Biography

Aisha Hasan is a leader for health information technology [IT] policy and management with over 14 years of experience in health care, health IT, policy, government, and business. Ms. Hasan serves as the Head of Global Health IT at the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT [ONC], a staff division in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services [HHS]. Ms. Hasan directs ONC’s global health IT efforts and projects, and leads the agency’s digital health international strategy; bi-lateral and multi-lateral engagements; programs; investments; and partner relationships. She represents the US’ health IT policies, strategy, and standards equities in multi-lateral engagements with the US government, countries, territories, and multi-national alliances and international organizations. Prior to her Head of Global Health IT position at ONC, Ms. Hasan worked as a health team Senior Advisor at Apple, Inc. At ONC, she served as the Deputy Division Director leading ONC’s Congressional affairs, finance, and human capital, and as the Senior Advisor to the National Coordinator for Health IT. She has worked in the HHS Immediate Office of the Secretary, National Institutes of Health, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health, and the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response. She also served at the White House Office of Management and Budget, and the Vice President of the United States’ Office of Domestic and Economic Policy. Ms. Hasan earned her Master of Business Administration [MBA] in the top five percent of her class, focusing on strategic management and health IT, from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. She is also a Project Management Institute certified Project Management Professional [PMP] and a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master [CSM]. Ms. Hasan earned her Bachelor of Science cum laude in Community Health, focusing on health policy, from the University of Maryland, College Park School of Public Health.

Before IUPUI, she earned a degree in dental surgery from NTR University of Health Sciences, India. Her research interests include machine learning, data analysis, and healthcare cybersecurity.
