Panel: The future is now! Exploring the use of innovative technologies to support and develop the healthcare workforce
The healthcare workforce is under increasing pressure to do more with less. The needs of our workforce of professional development, education and wellbeing are all still present and traditional approaches to support these needs are not always fit for purpose. Emerging technologies are presenting opportunities to flexibly support and develop the healthcare workforce in ways not previously possible. Come and join this panel to explore new approaches to support our healthcare workforce utilising technologies such as Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence, bespoke educational solutions, mobile applications and much more.

Optimising the value of EHR data by engaging clinicians in data quality

Mel is currently a founder and researcher looking at data quality in EHRs for reuse in predictive modelling. She has worked as a CHIO in musculoskeletal and occupational healthcare. Her passion is improving practitioner outcomes through digital tools. Mel recently received the HIMSS Future50 award in the clinical leadership category.

Nathan is the WSLHD Chief Nursing Information Officer and is responsible for supporting the adoption and improvement of clinical information systems and technologies for nurses, midwives, and other multidisciplinary care providers. He is completing a PhD exploring the design and deployment considerations for the use of VR in clinical education.
