Workshop: Securing health information: What health leaders need to know?

Cyberattack, ransomware and theft of health information are topics regularly in the news. Cybercriminals are advancing their activity, identifying vulnerable organisations and opportunities. With the compulsory reporting requirements in Australia, the health and care industry has been the source of the highest number of data breaches (OAIC, 2022). This evidence-informed workshop will identify priorities for health leaders to protect information, and digital assets and provide a practical way forward. Workshop content and activities are aimed at equipping stakeholders with an understanding of the threat landscape and providing a forum to share practical strategies and enable an informed response.
