Nhan Do is a research assistant professor of medicine at Boston University School of Medicine and the Director of the VA Boston Bioinformatics Group. He has served in multiple informatics leadership positions in the Military Health System to manage and support the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of health information technology. His current research effort at the VA is primarily the development of infrastructure to support data science research for precision oncology within a Learning Health Systems framework. This includes data repository, knowledge repository, and software applications to deliver actionable knowledge through data visualization for situational awareness and clinical decision support.

Her research agenda aims to promote healthy behaviours and prevent chronic diseases through the co-design, implementation, and evaluation of accessible, culturally sensitive digital solutions that empower underserved and underrepresented individuals, families, and communities. Dr Martin is the Secretary of the American Medical Informatics Association Consumer Health Informatics Working Group.
