Workshop: Making digital health equity a practical reality
The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated innovation and translation of digital health technologies (DHTs) including but not limited to telehealth consultations, patient self-management apps, wearables, machine learning algorithms etc. However, poorly designed DHTs can worsen health outcomes of already disadvantaged or marginalised groups. Drawing interdisciplinary knowledge from fields such as design, sociology, and health informatics, this workshop will equip participants with practical tools for meaningfully embedding equity in the design of digital health solutions.
