Biography

Richard oversaw the successful implementation of Australia's first fully integrated digital hospital in Hervey Bay as Group CEO of UnitingCare Health in 2014. In 2016 he was asked to be the startup CEO of the newly established Australian Digital Health Agency, putting into practice one of his recommendations from a landmark review he was asked to lead for the Federal Government on digital health in Australia. He currently chairs the CSIRO's EHealth Research Centre and is a Fellow of the AIDH.

Biography

Dr. Wonchul Cha is the Director of the Digital Innovation Center at Samsung Medical Center in South Korea. He led the establishment of a high-tech future hospital project by conducting a multi-robot demonstration for medical staff/patients based on non-face-to-face medical services and realization of integrated control centre.  He works as an associated professor in the department of emergency medicine, as well as the department of digital health. He started working at Samsung Medical Center as an instructor of emergency department and worked as a Chief Medical Information Officer for 6 years, while publishing several AI and Machine Learning findings for healthcare such as ‘Prediction Algorithms for Blood Pressure Based on Pulse Wave Velocity Using Health Check-up Data in Healthy Korean Men: Algorithm Development and Validation’, which was released at JMIR in 2021. He also led HIMSS INFRAM Stage7 achievement project with his team and this was successful for the first time in the world last year

Graduated from Seoul National University School of Medicine with a Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate degree MD at the Department of Gastroenterology at Samsung Medical Center Presently, hold the esteemed position of Chief of the Digital Transformation at Samsung Medical Center, where I have the privilege to lead the transformative journey of Digital Health. Actively involved as a distinguished member of the Information Technology committee, dedicated to driving the implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) at Samsung Medical Center. By leveraging Information Technology, strive to revolutionize the hospital's processes and bring about positive changes.
