Evelyn’s research focus is on standards development as these apply to EHRs, semantic interoperability and terminology. She is a founding Fellow of the International Academy of Health Sciences Informatics (FIAHSI) Geneva. Her latest textbook is titled Roadmap to successful digital health ecosystems, a global perspective.

Dr Fenton is the project director for the Gaining Equity in Training for Public Health Informatics and Technology training program at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She is responsible for the School of Biomedical Informatics certificate, master’s and doctoral degree programs.

Kathy is a clinical terminologies, classification, and data standards international consultant. She performs evaluations, provides education and training, authors articles, and presents worldwide. Ms. Giannangelo serves as editor of AHIMA’s Healthcare Code Sets, Clinical Terminologies, and Classifications textbook. Some of her ICD-11 work includes co-presenter at AMIA21 on “Exploring ICD-11 MMS as a Future US Standard” and author of AHIMA’s webinar series “The Evolution of ICD-11.”

Heather is a specialist health informatician working in standards, terminologies and data quality. She is convenor of ISO-TC215 HI Semantic Content working as a consultant data specialist and digital health educator around the world.

Dr Warren Del-Pinto is a Research Associate at the University of Manchester, currently working on the connection between Natural Language Processing (Text Mining) and clinical terminologies. He has also worked on subontology extraction with SNOMED International and abductive reasoning in large ontologies.

Dr Ranallo is an informatician dedicated to improving the quality of healthcare through technologies for semantic interoperability. She completed her undergraduate training at UCLA and her PhD at the University of Minnesota. She has front line experience developing and implementing informatics strategies in a variety of research and clinical settings.

Anindya Susanto has both a Medical Doctor background from Universitas Indonesia and a Bioengineering degree from Nanyang Technological University Singapore. He is a PhD candidate in Health Informatics at Macquarie University. He has an interest in applying medical technology in clinical practice.

Koji Yokoyama is currently a Ph.D student at the Department of Social Informatics, Graduate School of Informatics, Kyoto University. He received his master degree from Department of Social Informatics, Graduate School of Informatics, Kyoto University and his bachelor degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Toyohashi University of Technology.

I am a Medical Specialist in Internal Medicine at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital. Currently pursuing a Master’s of Science Degree in Health Informatics from Moi University Eldoret Kenya. I am passionate about clinical decision support tools to improve care for hypertension and diabetes mellitus in primary care settings.
