Have you been called difficult? Have you labelled a colleague as disruptive? Has your organisation been slandered as reckless? If yes, this learning lab is for you. Join this learning lab to uncover why modern leadership must value rebels to agitate, turning friction into opportunities for progress. Delegates will learn to identify personality traits and nurture talent to ensure digital health rebels thrive authentically in the workplace. Through interactive discussions, multimedia case studies, and activities, the lab will provide tactics at the individual, management, and organisational levels to help balance resistance and connect with industry goals while encouraging constructive disruption.

Learning Objectives:

1. Identify the common personality traits, attributes and talents of digital health rebels.
2. Learn to how be more effective at influencing people, projects and organisational change.
3. Learn how to utilise a range of rebellious tactics at an individual, management and organisational level to make a positive impact.
4. Apply newly learned tactics to create a ‘take home’ digital health rebel plan.

Biography

Melissa is a trained Occupational Therapist and the first Allied Health Professional elected to the UK's Chief Clinical Information Officer Advisory Panel. She was awarded a British Computer Society Fellowship in 2022. A National Health Service Digital Academy graduate, Melissa studied with Imperial College London to complete an MSc in Digital Health Leadership (research area digital health safety). Melissa is an AIDH Board Director and founded People Before Technology in 2024, an organisation that creates digital experiences for social good.
