Nick has more than 20 years’ experience across start-ups, top tier consulting, product ownership, and global leadership roles, spanning healthcare, aged care, and communication industries. He has extensive experience with evolving technologies, including health analytics, conversational AI, business process automation, machine learning and the change strategies associated with deploying these technologies.
Nick has a proven track record of innovation in healthcare, having launched several successful products focused on improving patient and care team experience, whilst supporting hospital efficiencies.

SQL on FHIR: Simplifying use of FHIR data in analytics

John works at the Australian e-Health Research Centre, CSIRO and is an expert in the use of FHIR and clinical terminology within the area of health data analytics. John is the creator of Pathling, an open source tool for large-scale FHIR data transformation and query. John is also part of the working group that authored the SQL on FHIR standard.

Dr. Hoa Ngo received his PhD degree in computer science from the University of Montpellier, France. He has expertise in semantic & knowledge representation; clinical terminology; applied machine learning, deep learning and natural language processing. He is now working as a senior research scientist at the Australian E-Health Research Centre, CSIRO

He is a co-chair of the AU FHIR eRequesting Accelerator and long standing health informatics standards tragic. He has been working in health IT for a long time and before that was Chief Scientist at a large national distributed systems research organisation. He has experience across industry, government, and research.
