The HIC2026 Industry Expo will be held held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney on Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 August 2026 from 9.30 am.

Important Information about Creating your Account

Passwords must be at least seven (7) characters, and contain numbers, upper and lower case alphabetic characters and at least one special character.
Each attendee account must be set up using a unique email address and password.

Why are we processing your personal data?

We ask for your personal data to facilitate your registration for this Conference and to provide event products and services..

Will third parties have access to your personal data?

For this event, your personal data will be viewed and processed by GEMS Event Management Australia, the Australasian Institute of Digital Health and the HIC Program Committee as the convenors of HIC2026. If you opt in to having your information shared with Sponsors and Exhibitors, your personal data will be shared with these organisations approximately four weeks prior to the Conference.

How long will we store your personal data?

We will only keep your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required by law. For example, we are required by law to retain financial transaction records including invoices and receipts for up to 5 years. Personal data collected for the purposes of processing your registration and attendance at this event may be retained for up to 12 months from the conclusion of that event, after which time any data we retain will be anonymised.

Withdrawal of Consent and Enquiries about your Personal Data

Please be aware that a withdrawal of consent before the start of this event will result in your registration being cancelled. Cancellations and cancellation fees will be processed in accordance with the terms and conditions as noted in your initial registration. You retain the right to request that we forget or anonymise your personal data. If you have attended any event with us, we will retain any financial, tax or event attendance records for reporting reasons, but will remove all personal data from our database, leaving an “anonymised” record in our database.

If you wish to be shown as an attendee on the Attendee App and obtain information about Expo attendees, Expo program and sponsor information, you will need to provide consent below.

Additionally, during the registration process, you will be asked if you wish to opt in to having your details shared with Sponsors and Exhibitors. If you do not opt in at that point, your information will not be shared to these parties.

Access to conference sessions, keynote presentations, workshops, seminars, or educational content conducted outside of Hall 1 Expo or within restricted conference areas;
Delegate-only networking functions or ticketed events;
Catering, refreshments, or hospitality services;

Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern registration, participation, and attendance at events managed by GEMS Event Management Australia Pty Ltd (“GEMS”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By completing registration for any GEMS-managed event, you (“you”, “your”, “delegate”, “participant”) agree to be bound by the terms set out below. These terms supersede any other agreements to the extent of any inconsistency. 1. Definitions and Scope These Terms and Conditions apply to all individuals and organisations registering for GEMS-managed events, including employees, contractors, sponsors, exhibitors, and any associated guests (collectively referred to as ‘participants’). References to ‘Event Organisers’ mean GEMS Event Management Australia Pty Ltd. 2. Your Capacity and Authority You enter into this agreement in your personal capacity and, where applicable, on behalf of any organisation, employer, or guest for whom you complete the registration. You warrant that you are authorised to do so, have provided these terms to each relevant person, and have obtained their consent for GEMS to process their personal information. 3. Compliance with Venue and Event Terms All attendees must comply with the terms and conditions of entry to each venue and follow lawful directions of venue staff and event organisers. GEMS reserves the right to remove any participant who fails to comply or whose conduct is considered inappropriate or disruptive. 4. Registration Confirmation and Payment All online registrations submitted to GEMS are deemed confirmed by the attendee. Tentative bookings are not accepted. A confirmation email will be issued upon registration. 5. Event Cancellation or Postponement by GEMS GEMS reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or change any event at its discretion. In such cases, delegates will be notified by email. If an event is cancelled, registration fees will be refunded in full. If postponed, delegates may transfer their registration to the new date or request a refund. GEMS is not responsible for any travel or accommodation costs incurred. 6. Conduct and Behaviour Participants must behave respectfully and responsibly at all times during the event. Offensive language, harassment, disruption of sessions, or endangerment of others will not be tolerated. GEMS reserves the right to remove any individual without refund should behaviour be deemed inappropriate. 7. Photography, Videography and Media Images and recordings may be taken by GEMS or authorised service providers during the event for promotional and archival purposes. By attending, you consent to the use of your image or likeness in promotional materials. If you do not wish for your image to be used, you must advise GEMS in writing prior to the event. 8. Insurance and Risk Expo registration does not include insurance of any kind. GEMS accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage arising from circumstances beyond its control. 9. Limitation of Liability To the extent permitted by law, GEMS’ liability for any claim relating to attendance or participation in the event is limited to the amount of registration fees paid. GEMS shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages including loss of profits, enjoyment, or opportunity. 10. Indemnity You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GEMS, its officers, employees, and contractors from and against all claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your acts, omissions, or breach of these Terms and Conditions, except where caused by the negligence of GEMS. 11. Privacy and Data Use By registering, you consent to GEMS collecting and using your personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy. Your name, organisation, and contact details may be shared with event partners for operational purposes. You may opt out of non-essential communications by contacting GEMS. 12. Transfer of Registration A registration may be transferred to another attendee by written notice to GEMS, provided the replacement attendee agrees to these Terms and Conditions. 13. Notices and Communication All notices must be sent in writing to the email address supplied on the registration form. Notices from GEMS will be sent to the attendee's nominated email address and deemed received on the date of transmission, unless outside normal business hours, in which case it is deemed received on the next business day. 14. Governing Law These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. By registering, you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state. 15. Force Majeure GEMS shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions if such delay or failure is due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, pandemics, industrial disputes, or equipment failure. In such cases, GEMS may reschedule, modify, or cancel the event without liability, and any refunds will be processed at its discretion. 16. Health, Safety and Public Welfare Participants must comply with all applicable health and safety regulations, venue requirements, and any public health directives in place at the time of the event. GEMS reserves the right to refuse entry or request removal of any delegate who fails to comply or poses a risk to others. 17. Intellectual Property All event content, including but not limited to presentations, videos, images, and materials, remain the property of GEMS or their respective authors. Such content may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without written consent from the owner. 18. Variation of Terms GEMS reserves the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be published on the event website and are effective upon posting. Continued participation following notice constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. 19. Dispute Resolution In the event of a dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, both parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation or mediation before commencing legal proceedings. 20. Entire Agreement and Severability These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between GEMS and the participant. If any provision is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
